Junior Design Assistant Intern - 6 months Contract

The Junior Design Assistant Intern supports the marketing team in producing visual assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and internal communications. This role provides an opportunity for a developing designer to gain practical experience in a professional marketing environment while contributing to the production of high-quality creative work across multiple marketing channels.

The role will assist in the creation, preparation, and adaptation of visual materials while learning brand standards, creative processes, and marketing design principles.

Requirements

The Junior Design Assistant Intern supports the marketing team in producing visual assets for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and internal communications. The role will assist in the creation, preparation, and adaptation of visual materials while learning brand standards, creative processes, and marketing design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Production Support

• Assist the Senior Graphic Designer in producing visual assets for marketing campaigns
• Adapt and resize creative assets for different formats and platforms
• Prepare graphics for digital channels including social media, websites, email campaigns, and presentations
• Support the creation of visual elements for reports, infographics, and marketing documents
• Assist with formatting presentations and marketing collateral

2. Brand and Visual Consistency

• Ensure all design work follows Lightstone’s brand guidelines and visual standards
• Assist in maintaining consistent visual identity across marketing materials
• Prepare templates and design assets that can be used by the wider marketing team
• Learn and apply best practices for professional brand execution

3. Campaign and Content Support

• Support the design of visual content for marketing campaigns and digital initiatives
• Assist in preparing design assets for events, webinars, and promotional activities
• Collaborate with marketing managers to develop visuals that support campaign messaging
• Assist in preparing creative materials for internal communications and company initiatives

4. Design Asset Management

• Organise and maintain design files, templates, and asset libraries
• Ensure correct file formats and versions are maintained
• Assist with preparing files for print or digital distribution
• Maintain shared folders and design archives

5. Event Support

• Preparing branded materials and print material for events, conferences and exhibitions
• Support the marketing team in organising event logistics related to the brand presence and promotional items at events

Qualifications/Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or related field

Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience in marketing, product, design or related field
• A portfolio demonstrating design ability and creativity
• Basic experience with design tools through coursework or personal projects
• Exposure to digital design, branding, or marketing design is advantageous

Technical skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Basic layout and typography principles
• Digital design for social media and web platforms
• Presentation design (PowerPoint or Google Slides)
• Familiarity with project management tools is advantageous
