Junior Designer

We are looking for a Junior Designer to join our in-house team and support the day-to-day creative needs of our growing business.

This is a hands-on role suited to a creative, organised and detail-oriented designer who enjoys working across a variety of projects. You will be responsible for creating visual content for our brands, restaurants, marketing campaigns, social media, promotions and internal business needs.

You will work closely with the management and marketing teams to bring ideas to life and ensure that all brand communication is professional, consistent and visually engaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Create graphics and visual content for social media platforms.
• Design promotional material for campaigns, specials, events and offers.
• Create and update menus, flyers, posters, signage and other printed materials.
• Assist with photography and basic content creation where required.
• Create digital assets for online ordering platforms, websites and marketing channels.
• Develop creative concepts and layouts based on briefs.
• Maintain consistency across brand guidelines, fonts, colours, imagery and overall visual identity.
• Resize and adapt existing designs for different platforms and formats.
• Assist with packaging, labels and other branded materials when required.
• Work with the marketing team to plan and produce regular content.
• Make amendments and revisions quickly and accurately based on feedback.
• Keep design files organised and maintain an effective digital asset library.
• Stay up to date with current design, social media and visual marketing trends.
• Assist with general creative and marketing projects as required.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification, certificate, diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field OR relevant practical experience.
• 1–2 years of graphic design experience is advantageous.
• Experience designing for social media and digital platforms.
• Good understanding of typography, layout, composition and visual hierarchy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines while also bringing fresh creative ideas.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your design ability.

Advantageous Skills

Experience with any of the following will be advantageous:

• Canva
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects
• CapCut or other video editing software
• Basic photography
• Basic video/content creation
• Motion graphics
• Food, hospitality or retail marketing
• Menu and promotional design
• Digital advertising
