Job description

Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections and fluid checks
Repair or replace faulty parts such as brakes, transmissions, differentials and exhaust systems
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles comply with safety and regulatory standards
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
Respond to break downs on the farm when necessary
Communicate with department managers to access vehicle performance and maintenance needs
Need to be time driven to work in a fast-paced environment
Implement inspection and check lists
Be available to work on national holidays as per operational requirements
Work longer hours if required due to break downs and on weekends when necessary
Own transport is a requirement
Be on call when assistance is needed after hours
Follow any lawful and reasonable instruction given by management

Experience:

Diesel mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
