About Us

Sugarequip is an engineering company specializing in sugar industry processing and handling solutions across Southern Africa. We design and supply equipment that keeps mills running—from dust extraction and air handling through to bulk material systems and process equipment.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Draftsman to join our engineering team. You'll be the hands behind our designs: taking concepts and turning them into detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings that our fabricators build from. You'll work closely with our lead engineers, learning from experienced professionals while building your technical foundation.

Your day-to-day:

- Create and iterate 3D models and CAD manufacturing drawings in Inventor (or similar)

- Produce clear, dimensioned drawings ready for the workshop

- Quality-check builds at our fabrication partners—catching issues before they become expensive

- Support design reviews and learn the why behind design decisions

- Work across diverse projects: dust collection, sugar processing equipment, bulk handling systems, custom installations

Who We're Looking For

- Competent with 3D CAD modelling and technical drawing. Inventor experience is a plus.

- Someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do—you see what needs doing and you grab it

- Keen to learn. You're early in your career and hungry to develop real engineering judgment

- Adaptable and practical. You'll work across different project types and challenge areas

Pay: R20 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
