Junior Engineer (Tenders)

An EME with interests in the power generation sector is looking for junior personnel with the below skills and qualification set:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mech, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Civil ) .
• 1-2 years experience in Tendering/Bid proposals is required . Experience with tendering on SOEs (Eskom, Transnet, Randwater, Sanral , Municipalities & Mines)

SITE EXPERIENCE , DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Onsite experience (projects on running plants - mining, power generation, manufacturing etc.)
• Power Generation & Mining experience a definite advantage
• Must have experience in coordinating quality control of works , quality documentation (QCPs, ITP, Checklists , NCRs etc)
• Must be able to read technical reports/tender/scope of works, drawings , draft technical and commercial responses (method statements, QCPs/ITPs, SHEQ Plans & Priced BOQs)
• Must be able to do pricing for tenders/BOQs etc
• Able to coordinating a small team of skilled and unskilled personnel . The person however must be hands on as he/she is expected to physically execute works such as testing and commissioning amongst others
• ensure compliance with all time and attendance (time sheets, shift roster requirements, looking after company assets (vehicles , tools, PPE etc)
• Attending all meetings (quality , safety, progress etc)
• Co-ordinating all technical issues onsite. Liaison between Client and Head Office and ensuring all matters are resolved.
• Attending to all quality and compliance issues relating to the contract onsite.
• Onsite contract administration

OFFICE EXPERINCE , DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have solid tendering experience in State Owned Companies ( Eskom, RandWater, DBSA, Transnet etc)
• Must be very computer literate (MS projects, word, excel , p/point)
• Interpreter technical scopes and derive technical responses (method statements, quality plants , ITPs, SHEQ plans etc )
• Ability to interact with professionals /consultants
• Must be conversant with the end to end process of tendering including administrative work
• Dafting, Compilation & Interpretation of tender BOQs , pricelists, drawings , SoW to produce detailed and priced BOQs etc
• Contract Management
• Invoicing
• Sourcing of prices , indices etc
• Co-ordination of the tender office and operational logistics

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: R14 000,00 - R16 500,00 per month

• Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
