We supply, install, and support complete POS systems (hardware, networking, and software) for retail businesses across Gauteng /Africa, including supermarkets, restaurants, butcheries, canteens and liquor stores.
We take pride in keeping our clients' day-to-day operations trading smoothly through hands-on installation, training, and reliable after-sales support.
Job Description:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Junior POS IT Technician to join our technical support and installation team. In this role, you will learn the ins and outs of our dedicated POS environment and help deploy, configure, and maintain retail systems for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior tech looking to gain hands-on field experience in networking, hardware setups, and software troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the rollout, assembly, and testing of POS hardware and peripherals.
- Help set up and install network cabling and infrastructure at client sites.
- Configure SmartRetail software settings to align with client business workflows.
- Deliver user training to store staff and managers during system handovers.
- Provide day-to-day technical troubleshooting and after-sales support (remote and telephonic).
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent IT qualification).
- Valid South African Driver's License.
- Own reliable transport to get to work daily (and for field call assignments).
- Strong basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible retail hours or stand-by shifts if needed.
