We’re looking for a passionate Junior Finance Analyst to join CIRO in Bryanston, Johannesburg. The Junior Finance Analyst supports the finance team by assisting with performance analytical reviews, month‑end reporting, and performing administrative responsibilities that ensure smooth operations. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional who is detail-oriented and eager to develop analytical skills while maintaining efficient finance administration.

Key Areas of Impact:

• Analysis and Insight
  • Assist with customer, product and region performance analysis
  • Data mining and summarization to provide insights to assist the business with decision making
  • Variance analysis and insightful commentary
  • Provide support to sales team by providing sales data and insights
• Reporting
  • Preparation of month end journals
  • Preparation of month end reports
  • New product performance tracking
  • Promotional activity tracking
  • Cost of doing business reporting
  • Assist with regional and channel profitability reporting
  • Product margin monitoring
  • Preparation and loading of selling and administration expense budget and PF templates
• Control environment maintained & process improvement
  • Support the external and internal auditors by responding to queries and providing required support
  • Stock count attendance and reporting
  • Drive the automation of recurring reports
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve finance processes, implementing changes that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Monitoring and following up on long outstanding purchase orders
• SAP and Finance Administration
  • Maintenance of price tables on SAP
  • Maintenance of customer, products, equipment and spares hierarchies on SAP
  • Preparation of sundry invoices and sundry credit notes
  • Maintenance of discount forms with new prices and costs
  • Preparation of purchase requisitions for finance department
  • Customer price claim validation
  • Customer portal price updates
  • Assist with the completion of customer and vendor forms
• Finance functional backup
  • Serve as a backup on core finance functions, ensuring continuity during absences or peak workload periods to Commercial Analysts

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:

• 2 – 4 years experience in a financial analysis, commercial analysis, management accounting or similar finance role
• Ability to analyse large data sets, prepare reports and assist development, refining and maintenance of finance tools
• Experience in financial reporting, variance analysis and performance reporting

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

• BCom Accounting Degree or related Finance Degree

Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system will be advantageous
• Advanced Excel
