Job description
Junior Health & Safety Officer
We are seeking a Junior Safety Officer to join our consultancy team based in central Verulam. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and able to provide basic Health & Safety services across the Wholesale & Retail and Construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Site establishment and ongoing site maintenance.
- Acting as the company’s representative during inspections.
- Compiling, updating, and managing safety files.
- Delivering basic safety training to staff and contractors.
- Supporting clients across various sites throughout KZN.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory).
- Computer literacy (mandatory).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and professionally with clients.
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Office hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday.
- Weekends and public holidays off.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Additional hours (when required) are paid at an hourly rate.
