Job description
We are a well-established IT services and repair company based on the KZN South Coast looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role combining bench repairs with direct client interaction — you will be the first point of contact for walk-in and phone enquiries while also working through workshop repairs daily.

- Windows reinstalls, driver troubleshooting, virus and malware removal, data backup and recovery
- Managing multiple open jobs in the workshop and prioritising effectively
- Assisting senior technicians with more complex repairs when required
- Keeping the workshop and front-of-house area organised and presentable
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience repairing laptops and desktops — you must be able to open a machine, diagnose the fault, and carry out the repair
- Ability to replace common laptop components (screens, keyboards, batteries, storage drives) without supervision
- Solid Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of PC hardware and how components fail
- Confident, well-spoken, and professional when dealing with clients face-to-face and over the phone — this is a client-facing role and presentation matters
- Able to explain technical issues to non-technical clients in plain language
- Reliable, honest, and able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Must be based on the South Coast or able to commute to Uvongo daily
Advantageous
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
