Junior IT Technician

We’re looking to hire a Junior or Junior IT Technician to join our growing team. You will be required to drive to clients and provide onsite support. You will also be required to provide remote support when based at the office.

· Act as the first point of contact for technical support across computing, software, and networking environments.

· Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile technologies.

· Address technical faults in Windows platforms, Microsoft 365 environments, connectivity issues, and hardware malfunctions.

· Handle account provisioning and access control within AD, Azure, Microsoft 365, and email platforms.

· Maintain compliance with internal IT governance and enforce security measures.

· Execute scheduled maintenance tasks and implement software updates and infrastructure improvements.

· Participate in procurement activities and track IT equipment across departments.

· Accurately document support actions, system changes, and maintain asset inventories.

YOU WILL WORK WITH:

· Windows Desktop operating systems (Windows 10 and above)

· Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2008 and above)

· Microsoft Exchange Online

· Microsoft 365- Basic Level

· Microsoft Azure – Basic Level

· Amazon AWS- Basic Level

· Web Servers / VPNs / FTP Servers

· Firewalls / Switches / Routers

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS YOU NEED:

· A+, N+ or equivalent technical IT qualification

· Knowledge of Networking concepts like DNS, DHCP and protocols like SMTP, POP3, IMAP, HTTPS

· Network troubleshooting using tools such as PING, TRACERT, NSLOOKUP

· Working IT knowledge of IT Systems within a business environment

· Good communicator with good interpersonal skills, punctuality and honesty.

· Ability to take instruction over the phone.

· Ability to resolve client issues timeously

· Ability to update tickets and documentation timeously.

Pay: R7 500,00 - R9 000,00 per month

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
