Junior Front of House (FOH) ManagerJob Purpose

To assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily Front of House operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient team performance, and adherence to RocoMamas brand standards. The Junior FOH Manager is responsible for creating a positive dining experience while supporting staff development and achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the Front of House team during shifts.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Welcome guests and professionally resolve customer complaints.
  • Coordinate seating, reservations, and table management.
  • Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality, and performance.
  • Train and coach FOH employees on service standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
  • Perform daily cash-ups, reconcile tills, and assist with stock control.
  • Support opening and closing procedures.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
  • Assist in achieving sales targets and controlling labour costs.
  • Complete daily operational reports and communicate with senior management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • 1–2 years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality supervisory/management role.
  • Previous experience in customer service or restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Reliable transport to and from work.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems).

  • Shift-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Regular interaction with customers and staff.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Kraaifontein, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • hospitality : 1 year (Preferred)
