Junior Marketing & Graphic Designer

We are looking for a creative, organised and self-motivated Junior Marketing & Graphic Designer to manage the day-to-day marketing requirements of our group of companies.

This is a hands-on, independent role covering graphic design, digital marketing, website updates and general marketing administration. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable managing their own workload and taking responsibility for marketing tasks from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Design marketing material using Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Create brochures, flyers, signage, product material, presentations and other marketing collateral
• Prepare artwork and files for digital and print use
• Manage day-to-day social media marketing, including creating, scheduling and publishing content
• Create and send email marketing campaigns
• Perform occasional WordPress website updates and changes, including text, images, products and page content
• Maintain and organise marketing files, images and brand assets
• Liaise directly with printers, signage companies and other marketing suppliers
• Obtain quotations, place orders and follow up on marketing collateral
• Manage marketing-related administration
• Coordinate multiple marketing requests and priorities across the group
• Handle ad hoc marketing requirements as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in Canva
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with social media marketing
• Experience with email marketing
• Basic working knowledge of WordPress
• Good eye for design, layout and brand consistency
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written communication skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

The Person We're Looking For

You don't need to be an expert in every area of marketing, but you do need to be resourceful and willing to figure things out.

This role suits someone who can work independently, follow established brand guidelines and take ownership of day-to-day marketing requirements. You should be equally comfortable designing a piece of marketing material, updating a website, scheduling social content or dealing with a supplier.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
