Job description
Ready to own an online marketplace and make it perform?
Chenshia is a fast-growing e-commerce business, and we’re looking for a Junior Marketplace Account Manager to help drive the performance of our online marketplace channels, including platforms such as Takealot, Amazon and Makro.
This isn’t a role where you’ll just update spreadsheets or load products. You’ll be given ownership of one or more marketplace accounts and will be responsible for making sure everything comes together to deliver sales, great customer experience and strong marketplace performance.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day performance of your marketplace account(s), including:
- Driving sales and marketplace performance – keeping an eye on what is selling, what isn’t, and where the opportunities are.
- Marketplace SLAs & account health – monitoring key platform metrics and making sure we stay on top of marketplace requirements.
- Listings & catalogue execution – working closely with our Catalogue team to ensure products are correctly listed, optimised and live when they should be.
- Promotions – coordinating with our Promotions team to make sure campaigns and deals are correctly set up and executed.
- Fulfilment – working with our Warehouse and Operations teams to make sure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Customer experience – partnering with Customer Service to resolve issues and protect customer satisfaction and marketplace ratings.
- Performance tracking – understanding your numbers, identifying problems early and pushing for solutions.
- Growth opportunities – spotting ways to improve visibility, conversion, sales and overall account performance.
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone early in their career who is bright, commercially minded, energetic and hungry to grow.
You could be a great fit if you:
- Have a business, commerce, marketing, e-commerce or similar qualification.
- Have some exposure to e-commerce, marketplaces, retail, sales or commercial operations.
- Are naturally interested in sales and business performance.
- Like working with numbers and understanding what drives results.
- Are organised and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
- Have the confidence to follow up and hold people accountable — even when they don't report to you.
- Are proactive: you see a problem and start looking for a solution.
- Learn systems and technology quickly.
- Communicate clearly and build good working relationships.
- Want responsibility and growth, rather than a narrowly defined admin role.
Experience with platforms such as Takealot, Amazon, Makro or other online marketplaces would be a bonus, but we're also open to a strong junior candidate with the right commercial mindset and ability to learn quickly.
Why Chenshia?
We’re growing quickly, which means there’s plenty to learn and plenty of opportunity to take on more responsibility.
This is a great role for someone who wants to build a career in e-commerce and commercial account management and eventually take ownership of larger marketplace channels and greater revenue responsibility.
If you're commercially curious, love seeing numbers move, and like making things happen — we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: From R1,00 per month
