Job description
Transkei Quarries (Pty) Ltd seeks to fill the abovementioned post with a highly motivated & result oriented individual. The role will be based at Butterworth in the Eastern Cape.
Duties:
- The day-to-day management of the maintenance department.
- Supervise and lead maintenance with production team.
- Coordinate planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure plant and equipment are maintained correctly.
- Prioritize and allocate maintenance resources - Procurement.
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Fluent in English and Xosa
- Relevant trade qualification (Millwright, Fitter, Electrician, Boilermaker, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, processing, or industrial environment.
- Minimum 2 years' supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and maintenance planning.
- Experience with mechanical fault finding.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience or knowledge of Electrical systems will be an advantage.
