takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Junior Payroll Officerto join our team in Cape Town.

The position reports to the Payroll Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of appointment documents within agreed SLA time requirements
  • Assisting with coordination of HR information/Communication/training sessions as required
  • Liaising with benefits service providers as required
  • Loading of employee profiles onto the Payroll System
  • Filing of all HR – related documentation
  • Establishing/maintaining employee records; ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
  • Processing of Termination documentation as required
  • Processing of soft benefits offered by the company
  • Assisting with HR administration and projects as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teritary qualification Businesss Management / Human Resources Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 – 2 years' experience in an HR admin role with specific experience in a payroll administration environment
  • Experience with time and attendance systems is required
  • Experience working on ESS
  • Knowledge of relevant, South African legislation (BCEA, UIF, SDA, PAYE, WCA)
  • Accounting knowledge sufficient to perform journal entries and payroll account reconciliations
  • Payroll administration
