This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Portfolio Specialists while gaining practical, hands-on experience in the management of Sectional Title and Homeowners’ Association schemes. You’ll be involved in everything from preparing for meetings and supporting financial processes to communicating with trustees, service providers and owners—developing the knowledge and confidence needed to build a successful career in community scheme management.

  • Reporting to: Operational Manager
  • Location: First Floor, Wrigley Field, The Campus, Corner of Main & Sloane Street, Bryanston, with remote work on non-office days (reliable backup electricity and internet required)
  • Salary: R20,000 – R25,000
  • Benefits: Pension Fund
  • Eligibility: South African Citizens Only

Purpose of the Position

The Junior Portfolio Coordinator supports designated Portfolio Specialists in the day-to-day management of Sectional Title and Homeowners’ Association portfolios. Working closely with experienced professionals, the role provides administrative, operational and client support to ensure portfolios are managed efficiently while developing the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in property management.

Scope

Reporting to the Operational Manager, the Junior Portfolio Coordinator works closely with assigned Portfolio Specialists, Financial Controllers and internal support teams to assist with the effective administration of community schemes.

The role provides exposure to all aspects of portfolio management, including meetings, financial administration, client communication, maintenance coordination and legislative compliance, while supporting the smooth operation of assigned portfolios.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The applicant must have completed Matric together with relevant Paddocks courses.
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Financial Management or Property Management will be advantageous.
  • Applicants should have an excellent command of written and spoken business English.
  • Previous experience within the Sectional Title or Homeowners’ Association industry will be advantageous. Applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for the property management industry and enjoy building professional relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.

Working Conditions

  • The applicant will be based in an open-plan office, work remotely and attend site visits where required in accordance with company hybrid working arrangements.
