Argo Powder Coating is looking for a reliable and experienced Junior Powder Coater to join our production team.

This is not an entry-level training position. The successful candidate must have practical powder-coating experience and be able to operate a powder-coating spray gun independently on standard production work, without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and powder coat products according to job specifications and colour requirements.
• Operate powder-coating equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure consistent coverage and quality of finished work.
• Inspect completed work and identify coating defects or problems.
• Follow job cards, production procedures and quality requirements.
• Prepare, load and unload products as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Clean and maintain powder-coating equipment and work areas.
• Work efficiently to meet production requirements without compromising quality.
• Communicate any problems, defects or unusual requirements to the Senior Powder Coater or supervisor.
• Assist with general production and workshop duties when required.
• Work cooperatively as part of a small production team.

Requirements

• Previous practical powder-coating experience is essential.
• Must be confident spraying independently.
• Good understanding of powder-coating application and curing.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Able to follow instructions, job specifications and established procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to take responsibility for their work.
• Able to work in a busy production environment.
• Physically able to perform the duties required in a workshop environment.
• Must be willing to assist with general production duties when required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 Years Experience

Position Structure

The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Powder Coater and will be responsible for completing standard powder-coating work independently.

More technical, specialised or difficult coating work and technical troubleshooting will remain under the responsibility of the Senior Powder Coater.

This is a junior-level position, with opportunity to develop technical skills and experience within the company.

Pay: R260,00 - R300,00 per day
