Role overview: We're looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join the team! The Project Co-ordinator is an entry-level position designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to managing software development projects within an agile framework. This role is crucial for supporting the project management team and ensuring the smooth execution of day-to-day project tasks. The Project Co-ordinator works under the direct guidance of technical project managers , learning and applying foundational project management skills. A successful Project Co-ordinator is highly organised, proactive, and eager to learn. They are responsible for assisting with project documentation, coordinating with team members, and supporting quality assurance and client communication efforts. This role is a foundation for a career in project management, focusing on hands-on experience and skill development tthrough mentorship.

Key responsibilities:

Foundational Project Management & Learning

• Assist in managing software development projects under the guidance of the technical project managers & delivery manager.

• Learn and apply SCRUM/Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog management.

• Support project tracking and reporting using GitHub Projects and other PM tools.

• Assist with project timeline creation and resource planning across multiple teams

Team & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with developers to track progress and identify blockers.

• Support design-to-development handoff processes and learn UX/UI coordination.

• Assist with SEO requirement gathering and understand integration into development workflows.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning discussions.

Communication & Issue Management

• Help identify risks and escalate issues to the delivery manager & project management lead.

• Support client communication under supervision.

• Participate in team ceremonies and client meetings to build stakeholder management skills.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

• Maintain project documentation and ensure deliverables are accurately tracked.

• Support quality assurance and coordinate basic testing activities.

• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and process enhancement.

• Participate in retrospectives and apply learnings to future sprints.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Technology, or related field

• 1-3 years of project coordination or project management experience

• Basic understanding of software development processes and web technologies

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies through coursework, training, or practical experience

• Experience working in collaborative team environments

• Strong academic or professional background demonstrating organisational abilities

Skills and requirements:

• Basic knowledge of traditional & agile principles and project management fundamentals.

• Familiarity with project tracking tools and willingness to learn GitHub Projects.

• Foundational understanding of web development concepts and terminology.

• Basic awareness of UX/UI design processes and how they integrate with development.

• Introductory knowledge of SEO principles and their impact on web development projects.

• Good communication skills and ability to work with technical teams.

• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.

• Problem-solving mindset and ability to identify project risks.

• Team collaboration skills and professional demeanour acrossmultiple disciplines.

• Basic stakeholder management capabilities.

• Willingness to learn technical concepts related to software development [Website, API, Apps etc including basic development

frameworks Headless builds, FE frameworks,PHP/JavaScript workflows].

• Understanding of design workflow basics and cross-team collaboration.

• Time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Documentation skills and process-oriented thinking.

• Adaptability and openness to feedback and mentoring.

• Interest in technology project management and continuous learning.
