Job description
SupaCrush is currently seeking a Junior Semi-Skilled Mechanic. The successful candidate will assist with the servicing, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of heavy commercial vehicles, trailers, earthmoving equipment and related machinery, ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability and safety while maintaining high workmanship standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their skills in a heavy vehicle workshop environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working on heavy commercial vehicles.
- Good understanding of diesel engines, braking systems, suspension, steering and driveline components.
- Ability to use workshop tools.
- Preferably have a valid drivers’ license, preferably code EC with a PDP.
- Ability to execute job function with urgency, but ensuring that quality of work is not compromised.
- Ability to work long hours if required.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Have clear criminal record (Criminal Check will be conducted).
- Must be Medically & Physically fit (Medical examination will be conducted).
