Junior SEO Content Writer

POSITION PURPOSE

The SEO Content Writer will be responsible for creating engaging, informative and SEO-optimised content to improve the company's online visibility, search engine rankings, website traffic and customer engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SEO Content Creation

• Write high-quality, SEO-optimised website content, product descriptions and landing pages.
• Create engaging blog articles, buying guides and informative content related to mattresses, beds, bedding and sleep products.
• Research relevant keywords and incorporate them naturally into content.
• Optimise existing website content to improve search engine performance.
• Ensure all content is accurate, original, engaging and aligned with the company's brand voice.

2. Keyword Research & SEO Optimisation

• Conduct keyword research to identify relevant search terms and content opportunities.
• Apply SEO best practices, including headings, meta titles, meta descriptions, internal linking and image alt text.
• Assist with on-page SEO improvements to increase organic website traffic.
• Identify content gaps and opportunities to improve search engine rankings.

3. Website & Digital Content Management

• Update and maintain website content as required.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotions, campaigns and product launches.
• Ensure product information, descriptions and website content remain current and consistent.
• Assist with content strategies to improve online customer experience and conversions.

4. Performance Monitoring

• Monitor website traffic, keyword rankings and content performance.
• Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO platforms to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to improve content performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in SEO content writing, copywriting or digital content creation.
• Excellent written English and strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Understanding of SEO principles, keyword research and search engine ranking factors.
• Experience writing website content, blog articles and product descriptions.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO tools.
• Strong research, organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Experience with e-commerce websites.
• Knowledge of mattresses, bedding, furniture, or retail products.
• Experience with WordPress or other content management systems.
• Basic understanding of conversion rate optimisation and digital marketing.
