Junior Social Worker
Location: Bellville, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
About the Role
Tygerberg Association for Street People (TASP) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Junior Social Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide psychosocial support, case management, counselling, and referral services to individuals experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client assessments and develop intervention plans.
- Provide counselling, support, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate case files and reports.
- Facilitate group programmes and life skills sessions.
- Work closely with community stakeholders and service providers.
- Support programme implementation and monitoring.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
- Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) and in good standing.
- Excellent communication, counselling, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable and diverse communities.
- A valid driver's licence is an added advantage.
