Junior Technician

Autolectronix is a leading specialist in the repair of electronic and pneumatic modules used throughout the transport industry. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Junior Technician who is eager to learn, enjoys working with tools, and takes pride in producing quality work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills while working alongside experienced Senior Technicians and Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Open, disassemble, clean, prepare, and reassemble customer units for Senior Technicians and Managers.
• Close completed units to a high standard, ensuring they are clean, protected, and ready for dispatch.
• Maintain organisation by ensuring all components remain correctly matched to each job.
• Assist with automotive spray painting and the application of protective coatings where required.
• Operate hand tools and workshop equipment safely and correctly.
• Collect new units from reception and prepare them for assessment.
• Assist with workshop maintenance, cleaning, and keeping work areas organised.
• Support Senior Technicians with repairs, testing, and workshop projects.
• Assist with preventative maintenance of workshop equipment.
• Follow workshop procedures and maintain accurate job records.
• Work safely while adhering to all company health and safety standards.
• Assist management with workshop duties as required.
• Continuously learn and develop new technical skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge and confident use of hand tools is essential.
• Technical aptitude with an interest in mechanical or electronic repairs.
• Ability to work with small components and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a workshop environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
• Previous workshop, mechanical, automotive, or technical experience will be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence is beneficial but not essential.
