Mineware Consulting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior to Intermediate Accountant to join our growing finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with 2 to 3 years of accounting experience who is looking to develop their career within a professional, technology-focused business.

This position is based in Stellenbosch and follows a hybrid working model , combining office-based collaboration with flexible remote working.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions accurately and timeously.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Maintain general ledger and accounting records.
• Assist with VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and accounting standards.
• Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, service providers, and external partners.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Experience working with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar.
• Experience performing reconciliations and preparing financial reports.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
• Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
