Junior Travel Consultant

The Role

We are looking for a high-energy, tech-savvy Travel Consultant Intern to act as the face and voice of Visit Hartbees during our busiest days of the week. Based at our newly launched Chameleon Village Information Office, you will handle face-to-face walk-in tourists, convert inbound digital inquiries, and actively bundle exciting Harties itineraries.

Key Responsibilities

• Walk-In Consulting: Welcome tourists visiting the Chameleon Village office, identify their needs, and confidently recommend local activities, dining, and accommodations.
• Social Media & Community Management: Actively monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and leads across our Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook platforms. Turn followers into paying guests with quick, engaging responses.
• Digital Lead Conversion: Manage the Visit Hartbees WhatsApp Business line during your shift, responding to inquiries and closing deals within our strict 15-minute SLA.
• Curating & Bundling: Upsell single-ticket requests into comprehensive, high-margin bundles ● Booking & Ticketing: Process bookings through our partner portals and issue seamless Master QR Passes to guests.
• Office & Media Management: Ensure the information office is neat, and our partner advertising displays (wall panels, TV loops, and desk cards) are perfectly presented and restocked.
• B2B Networking: Assist in signing up local Hartbeespoort activity/accommodation owners to advertise on our physical in-office media spaces. Requirements

Qualifications

• Education: A graduate with a diploma/degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or Sales
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English (other local languages are a strong bonus).
• Tech & Social Media Savvy: Highly comfortable using web-based software, WhatsApp Business, Google Workspace, and fluent in navigating, engaging, and selling via Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Sales-Driven: Not afraid to close a deal, offer an upsell, or pick up the phone to negotiate with a preferred partner.
• Reliability: You are punctual and reliable. Because you are managing our peak tourism days (Friday to Sunday), attendance is strictly non-negotiable. ● Local Knowledge: A good understanding of Hartbeespoort, its geography, and its popular attractions is a massive advantage.

What We Offer

• Guaranteed Base Salary: R5,240.00 + Commission
• Aggressive Commission Plan: Earn a 10% share on standard booking margins, and a massive up to 20% bonus share on any high-margin deals you close.

Pay: R5 240,00 per month
