Key Accounts Manager

Reporting to: Sales Director

Staff members reporting to Key Accounts Manager: 0

Overall purpose of the job: Manage key accounts in order to achieve Sales and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate business opportunities.
• Develop and implement Sales plans for all key accounts.
• Devise and implement sales forecast.
• Manage key accounts by negotiating and closing deals, in order to achieve sales (both volume and value) and profitability targets.
• Explore new channels in order to ensure increase in customer base.
• Optimise the product mix within the relevant sector so that required sales of all categories are achieved.
• Implement the Company’s Marketing plan through the alignment of promotional activities with key customers.
• Manage Key accounts budget to within targeted levels.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in relevant field.
• 8-10 years’ progressive Sales management experience, including 2-3 years as Key Accounts Manager in a reputed FMCG company.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Be analytical and able to take initiative.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork qualities.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
