Africa’s leading specialist in the manufacturing of premium knitted and woven mattress fabric is seeking a skilled Key Accounts Manager. The role involves promoting the value of our fabrics to drive sales, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact throughout the entire sales process.
Minimum Requirements
- A post-graduate Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or closely related discipline.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Sales within a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate (Microsoft office, Syspro).
- A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technological trends.
- Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate sales, goals and develop long term partnerships with customers.
- Identify core needs and offer customized solutions to our clients.
- Planning and organising weekly work schedule to call on existing and potential clients.
- Present products and trends to customers.
- Review and manage customer order book.
- Collaborate closely with Planning and Distribution department to achieve OTIF.
- Interaction with design team for the best product offering and added treatments, ensuring the correct sample is developed and delivered to the customer.
- Interaction with production team liaising confirmation dates ensuring stock is delivered on time and in full.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, delivery schedules and operational techniques.
- Liaise with customers regarding all confirmations, delays, forecasting and stock control.
- Liaise and communicate with other departments to ensure effectiveness in resolving customer care complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations and finding solutions.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual budget as per set targets.
- Generate sales reports including all booking reports and other daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting as directed.
- Keep informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.
