Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of baked goods including pastries, cakes, bread, and other French specialties following established recipes and standards
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
• Package baked items with care to ensure freshness and presentation quality
• Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using piping bags, fondant, and other decorating tools
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation procedures
• Assist customers at the register with friendly service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling protocols and ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Support high-volume production during busy hours while maintaining consistency in product quality
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to keep the kitchen fully equipped for daily operations

Experience

• Previous experience in food production or bakery environments is highly preferred, especially with pastry preparation or cake decorating
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment used in baking and pastry work
• Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures within the food industry
• Experience working in high-volume settings that require quick turnaround times without compromising quality
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests at the cashier station
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
• Culinary experience involving baking, cooking, or pastry arts is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
