KITCHEN COMMUNICATOR / PROFESSIONAL ORDER TAKER

An exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional to join a private household of the highest standards.

We are seeking someone who can act as the sophisticated communication link between the household and the kitchen — understanding exactly what is being requested and translating it into clear, precise instructions for the culinary team.

• Receive and accurately interpret daily food and beverage requests from the household.
• Possess a strong and broad knowledge of culinary terminology, ingredients, cooking methods and international cuisines.
• Have a genuine understanding of professional kitchen operations, workflow, preparation, timing and service.
• Recognise when an order requires clarification and confidently obtain the necessary information before passing it to the kitchen.
• Translate requests into clear, concise and technically appropriate instructions for chefs.
• Understand the practical implications of requests and anticipate potential issues before they reach the kitchen.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring preferences, modifications and special instructions are communicated accurately.
• Remain calm, discreet, polished and highly professional within a fast-paced private household environment. This is not a conventional restaurant order-taking role. Candidates must have genuine culinary and kitchen knowledge; simply taking orders or entering tickets is not sufficient.

Experience within a UHNW private household, luxury hotel, fine-dining establishment, chef's office or similarly demanding environment is highly desirable.

Pay: R8 002,40 - R25 223,57 per month
