Kitchen Manager required for takeaway restaurant

We are looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to join our team and help keep our daily operations running smoothly.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on kitchen Manager to join our fast-paced takeaway and delivery kitchen. The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, comfortable managing staff and willing to get involved in the day-to-day operation, orders, stock, customer service, cleaning, cash-ups and opening and closing procedures. With a good work ethic and a willingness to learn. You should be able to follow instructions, prioritize your work and take responsibility for your shift, follow procedures. You should be approachable and respectful with staff while still being able to maintain professional boundaries and manage the team fairly and consistently. This is a role for someone who is comfortable being in the kitchen and involved in the operation, rather than managing from the sidelines. Previous takeaway, fast-food or restaurant experience is needed. This is an evening position, working times is 3:00pm–9:30pm, one week 5 days and another week 6 days, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the day-to-day running of the takeaway operation.

· Lead and support the kitchen, front-of-house and delivery team.

· Ensure excellent food quality and customer service.

· Manage staff, daily tasks and shift operations.

· Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.

· Complete daily cash-ups and basic administrative duties.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety.

· Follow and enforce company procedures and operational standards.

Experience & Requirements

Requirements:

· Previous experience in a restaurant, takeaway, fast-food, delivery or similar environment.

· Have an understanding of what is required of a manager/supervisor

· Some previous supervisory or team-leading experience would be beneficial.

· Must be reliable, punctual and comfortable working in a busy environment.

· Must be able to follow instructions, learn our procedures and work independently.

· Basic computer skills/knowledge is essential, must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Be available to work evening shifts as well as over weekends.

· Have your own transport to and from your shift.

Pay: R9 000,00 - R11 000,00 per month
