VACANCY: LAUNDRY ASSISTANT/ GENERAL ASSISTANT
Function Foods is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant/ General Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, iron, and fold company laundry according to required standards.
- Sort laundry according to colour, fabric, and washing instructions.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and cleanliness.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area.
- Report faulty equipment or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure adequate stock of laundry detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- General assistant duties as required by the company.
- Assist with any other housekeeping or cleaning duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Able to communicate in English and read English instructions
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a reputable company
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Good attention to detail.
- Honest, dependable, and punctual.
- Willingness to work hospitality hours based on events & company requirements
