Job Advert Summary

Eduvos is looking to hire the services of an Independent Contractor, Law Lecturer**,** at our Durban/ Unhlanga campus on a part-time basis.

Type of appointment:

Independent Contractor

  • This is a part-time contractual agreement, which will require a flexible work schedule (generally during normal business hours) and will be remunerated on a hourly basis as per operational requirements.

Purpose:

  • To lecture Law-related modules, in the faculty on a part-time (contractual) basis.
  • To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications required:

  • LLM qualification with relevant teaching and/or industry experience
  • LLD qualification would be advantageous (candidates who are currently registered for an LLD or are in the process of completing one are encouraged to apply).

Experience:

  • Relevant lecturing experience
  • Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes
  • Relevant research experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Modules to be lectured:

  • Corporate Law
  • Law of Business Structures and Transactions
  • African Customary Law

Responsibilities:

  • Lecturing

  • Setting and marking of assessments
  • Preparation of notes and additional study materials
  • Quality Assurance
  • Management of At-risk students
