Job Title: Learning & Development Specialist
Location: Head Office (Hyde Park)
Reports to: Head of Talent Management
JOB SUMMARY
To coordinate, implement and facilitate Learning and Development initiatives, programmes, compliance requirements and capability-building solutions across the Group by partnering with business stakeholders to identify capability needs, delivering learning interventions, administering learning systems and programmes, monitoring outcomes and providing specialist support to ensure workforce capability, regulatory compliance and organisational performance requirements are achieved.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-year Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field.
Minimum Experience:
- 4 - 5 years' Human Resources experience with a specific focus on Learning and Development facilitation.
Advantageous
- Experience within the healthcare industry.
- Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience coordinating Learnerships, Internships and SETA-related programmes.

DELIVERABLES
- Implement and maintain Learning and Development standards, frameworks, policies and initiatives aligned to business objectives and the Group Talent Management Strategy.
- Coordinate training needs analyses and support the implementation of learning plans, calendars and capability-building interventions.
- Facilitate and coordinate learning programmes including induction, leadership, management, technical, professional development, learnership and internship initiatives.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to employees and managers on learning, development and capability-building opportunities.
- Administer and maintain learning systems, learner records, programme tracking and reporting processes.
- Coordinate learning service providers, SETAs and other external stakeholders to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Monitor learner progress, programme effectiveness and learning outcomes, escalating risks and implementation challenges where required.
- Prepare learning reports, dashboards and management information relating to participation, completion rates and learning effectiveness.
- Support the preparation and submission of Skills Development, B-BBEE and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate learning records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance with governance requirements.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with business leaders, HR stakeholders, managers and employees across the Group.
- Support organisational development, change management and critical-skills development initiatives through effective learning interventions.
- Monitor learning-related expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with approved budgets and governance controls.
- Conduct research and benchmarking activities to identify innovative learning solutions, emerging trends and best practices.
- Ensure all learning and development activities comply with legislative, governance, quality assurance, Skills Development and B-BBEE requirements.
