What will you do?

  • Craft and facilitate training that is practical, relevant, and engaging.
  • Continuously assess training needs through insights from stakeholder interactions.
  • Design and update blended learning solutions — from in-person sessions to digital content.
  • Stay close to the business and proactively respond to changes in product, systems, or process.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support strategic projects through training delivery.
  • Maintain strong communication and follow-up with stakeholders and training participants.
  • Travel to broker sites when needed to conduct product and/or systems training, refresher training, and capability sessions.

What will make you successful in this role?

Minimum Qualification Required

  • Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4
  • A relevant HR/Training/Insurance Qualification (advantageous)
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Minimum Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
  • Minimum 3 years in the Short-Term Business Insurance environment
  • Minimum 3 years in the Short-Term Personal Lines environment
  • Minimum 1 year coaching and training experience

Essential Competency Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Miway products (Business Insurance and Personal Lines) and systems.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid planning, coordination, and administrative capabilities.
  • Confident using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online learning tools.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and results driven.
  • A collaborative mindset with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple training projects and travel requirements.
  • Well presented.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Plan and deliver onboarding training and upskilling interventions.
  • Ensure that all training delivered aligns with Miway and industry standards.
  • Update and maintain learning materials in line with business changes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop training to close them.
  • Assess learner competence and provide feedback for development.
  • Drive consistency and excellence in all training efforts.
  • Support internal teams with training as needed across Business Units.
  • Ensure trainee feedback is captured and reported for continuous improvement.

The role responsibilities include the following:

  • Planning, designing, creating, and executing L and D programs aligned with business objectives to support the management team, ensuring they are outcomes-based.
  • Conducting audits and research to identify the best training delivery methods, including face-to-face, eLearning, and blended approaches.
  • Facilitating end-to-end training as needed, utilising existing business resources.
  • Staying updated with business changes and revising learning materials accordingly.
  • Conducting refresher training as required.
  • Sending regular updates on learning interventions to relevant business stakeholders.
  • Developing and designing learning materials suitable for e-learning, microlearning, and face-to-face sessions.
  • Ensuring sign-off on learning materials and assessments from subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Facilitating effective and quality training sessions for the business.
  • Evaluating the training provided for effective and measurable outcomes.
  • Reviewing current training offerings, to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Partnering with stakeholders on new projects and enhancements requiring training.
  • Reporting monthly on all training conducted to L and D Manager.
  • Working with the training coordinator to ensure appropriate training for all new employees in line with their roles.
  • Implementing a training schedule for all employees in agreement with business area stakeholders. Knowledge and Skills
