SUMMARY: Our client in the Higher Education and Training Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Lecturer : Education Foundation Phase to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. POSITION INFO: Requirements Honours Degree (essential) Master's Degree or studying towards a Master's (advantageous) 2-3 years lecturing experience Experience teaching Education modules at tertiary level Experience in Foundation Phase teaching (all subjects) Exposure to research activities, conferences, or academic publications advantageous Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management ability Proven ability to teach effectively using reflective practices Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills Ability to work proactively and independently Passion for student engagement and customer service Experience using technology to enhance learning advantageous Responsibilities Lecturing and Academic Delivery Lecture across relevant programmes and delivery modes. Conduct assessments, marking, and provide constructive student feedback. Moderate assessment scripts where required. Lecturer Development and Support Support lecturer development initiatives including peer reviews and workshops. Assist with planning and running student and lecturer initiatives. Student Development and Support Lead and manage academic development and support for students. Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies where needed. Research and Scholarship Promote a culture of academic research and scholarship. Contribute towards achieving institutional research output targets.
