Legal Administrative Secretary

VACANCY: LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY (ROAD ACCIDENT FUND LITIGATION)

An established litigation practice in Morningside, Durban is looking for an experienced and motivated Legal Administrative Secretary to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.
• Manage RAF litigation files from start to finish.
• Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
• Prepare trial bundles and court files.
• Liaise with clients, advocates, RAF, experts and others.
• Manage diaries, court dates and deadlines.
• File documents via Court Online and CaseLines.
• Maintain filing systems and general office administration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3–5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary in a litigation practice.
• Road Accident Fund (RAF) litigation experience is essential.
• Knowledge of High Court and Magistrates’ Court procedures.
• Excellent typing, drafting and proofreading skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional, reliable and detail-oriented.

• Debt Recovery;
• Legal practice management software (e.g. GhostPractice, LegalSuite or similar).
