Job description
Build conversations, book appointments, and grow your sales career
My Content Pal is hiring an Appointment Setter to manage LinkedIn outreach for founders of B2B service businesses.
You’ll find suitable prospects, start personalised conversations, build interest, qualify potential leads, and book appointments for our clients.
This isn’t a copy-and-paste outreach role.
We’re looking for someone who can read a person’s profile or post, notice a meaningful detail, and turn it into a conversation they genuinely want to continue.
You’ll receive structured training, regular coaching, and a clear opportunity to progress into a senior appointment setter or team leader role.
Your progression path
1. Appointment Setter
$1,050 USD monthly base to manage three client accounts, plus up to $600 in monthly performance bonuses
Research prospects, start conversations, qualify interest, follow up, and book appointments for B2B clients.
2. Senior Appointment Setter
Potential earnings of $3,000–$5,000 USD per month
Take greater ownership of client results, manage more valuable conversations, and earn more through performance-based compensation.
3. Team Leader
Potential earnings of $5,000+ USD per month
Lead and coach a team of appointment setters, improve their performance, and earn a small commission from your team’s results.
Progression depends on your performance, development, and available opportunities. We’ll give you the systems, coaching, and feedback needed to work towards each level.
What you’ll do
You’ll manage LinkedIn outreach and engagement across three client accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching founders and decision-makers who match each client’s ideal customer profile.
- Finding suitable B2B prospects through LinkedIn and Sales Navigator-style research.
- Writing personalised first-touch messages based on genuine details from a prospect’s profile, business, or content.
- Starting natural conversations that build trust and interest.
- Asking relevant questions to understand a prospect’s situation and potential needs.
- Qualifying interested prospects against the client’s criteria.
- Following up consistently without sounding automated, repetitive, or pushy.
- Moving suitable conversations towards an appointment.
- Booking qualified appointments for clients.
- Keeping clear records of outreach, replies, qualification details, appointments, and next actions.
- Writing thoughtful comments on prospects’ and industry contacts’ LinkedIn posts.
- Replying to public comments in each client’s voice.
- Publishing LinkedIn posts that have already been written and approved.
- Checking formatting, line breaks, tags, scheduled dates, and the correct account before publishing.
- Managing multiple accounts without mixing up their voices, facts, prospects, or conversations.
You will own the early stages of the sales conversation: prospecting, outreach, follow-up, qualification, and appointment setting.
The client will conduct the sales call and close the deal.
An important distinction: You will not write LinkedIn posts!!
(Our writers create the posts, and clients approve them. Your responsibility is to publish those approved posts correctly.)
Your original writing will focus on:
- Personalised direct messages
- Prospect replies
- Qualification conversations
- Follow-ups
- Appointment-setting messages
- Thoughtful LinkedIn comments
Who we’re looking for
You may already have experience in:
- Appointment setting
- LinkedIn outreach
- Lead generation
- Social selling
- Sales prospecting
- B2B sales development
- Business development
- Account-based marketing
- Outbound marketing
- Customer engagement
You don’t need to have held this exact job title before. What matters is that you can communicate naturally, research carefully, and confidently move conversations forward.
You should:
- Write clear, conversational English.
- Know how to write personalised DMs that don’t feel scripted.
- Be comfortable starting conversations with founders and business owners.
- Ask useful questions and recognise genuine buying interest.
- Understand how to qualify a potential lead.
- Know when a conversation is ready to move towards an appointment.
- Follow up confidently without becoming pushy.
- Adapt your writing to each client’s tone of voice.
- Understand the difference between a genuine conversation and a disguised sales pitch.
- Feel comfortable researching founders, companies, and B2B prospects.
- Notice useful details in profiles, posts, and conversations.
- Follow clear targeting and qualification criteria.
- Make sensible everyday decisions without needing every message approved.
- Check names, facts, context, and the correct account before sending or publishing anything.
- Stay organised while managing multiple conversations and client accounts.
- Take feedback well and apply it to your next conversation.
- Be ambitious about improving your skills, results, and earning potential.
- Be based in South Africa.
What you’ll earn
You’ll receive a base of $1,050 USD per month for managing three client accounts.
You can also earn up to $600 USD in monthly performance bonuses, bringing your total potential monthly earnings to $1,650 USD.
Your bonus is based on generating confirmed sales-qualified leads across your client accounts.
As your skills and results develop, you may have the opportunity to move into a more performance-based senior appointment setter role with significantly higher earning potential.
This is a remote contractor position, paid monthly in USD.
Training and coaching
You need to bring strong written communication and the confidence to start conversations. We’ll train you in our systems and help you become an excellent appointment setter.
You’ll receive practical coaching in:
- LinkedIn outreach
- B2B sales prospecting
- Lead generation
- Social selling
- Prospect research
- Personalised messaging
- Lead qualification
- Follow-up strategy
- Appointment setting
- Account-based marketing
- Managing client conversations
You’ll work closely with Craig during your onboarding and receive continued feedback as your confidence, judgement, results, and responsibilities grow.
We’re not looking for someone to complete the same list of tasks forever.
We want to develop a high-performing appointment setter who can take on more valuable conversations, increase their earnings, and potentially lead others.
