Job Title: Literacy Resource Teacher

Grade: D

Number of Positions: One (1)

Responsible To: Non-Formal Education Trainer

Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Non-Formal Education Trainer (NFET), the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and monitoring learner support services in the district.

Key Duties

Hold public gatherings to promote Non-Formal Education (NFE).
Facilitate engagement of LPAs, tutors, and invigilators.
Assess training needs of Continuing Education and Literacy facilitators.
Facilitate registration and administration of tests and examinations.
Be responsible for dispatch of learning materials.
Prepare and administer orientation and face-to-face workshops.
Conduct frequent visits to learning posts.
Provide guidance and counselling to NFE learners.
Attend conferences and seminars on NFE development in consultation with the Coordinator/Student Advisor.
Compile progress reports and submit them to the Coordinator/Student Advisor.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to communicate with rural communities.
Must be prepared to travel and stay for extended periods in remote areas of Lesotho.
Computer skills.

Qualifications

Diploma in Education (Primary)
