Job description
1. Litigation Administration
- Prepare, draft, format, and proofread legal documents accurately and within prescribed
- deadlines.
- Open, maintain, and update litigation files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Ensure all court documents are properly filed, served, and recorded.
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation and case progression.
2. Court and Case Management
- Manage and maintain litigation diaries, including court dates, consultations, trials,
- hearings, and medico-legal appointments.
- Monitor critical deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural
- requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding court processes, pleadings, and correspondence.
3. Document and Records Management
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic filing systems.
- Ensure all client files are complete, properly indexed, and easily accessible.
- Prepare court bundles, trial bundles, and briefing packs for counsel and experts.
- Ensure proper version control and safekeeping of confidential documents.
4. Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a professional point of contact for clients, counsel, experts, sheriffs, and court
- officials.
- Provide regular updates to attorneys regarding case progress and outstanding actions.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
5. Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with all court rules, practice directives, and
- internal firm policies.
- Maintain accuracy in all legal documentation and correspondence.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
6. Productivity and Efficiency
Meet all assigned deadlines and performance targets.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effective workload management.
Identify opportunities to improve administrative and litigation processes.
Provide proactive support to attorneys to ensure the efficient progression of matters.
7. Professional Conduct
- Maintain a professional image and positive working relationships.
- Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and initiative.
- Contribute positively to the firm's culture and objectives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and skills enhancement.
8. Softwares:
- Experience and advanced knowledge of the AJS software
- Caselines
- Court Online
9. Experience:
- 5 Years+ Consistent working experience in a similar position.
