VACANCY: LIVE-IN GUESTHOUSE HOST CLANWILLIAM.

Are you passionate about hospitality and enjoy working with people? We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and hands-on Live-in Guesthouse Host to join our team.

This is not an office-based position or retirement job. We are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the guesthouse and who leads by example. If you enjoy working with guests, maintaining high standards, supporting staff, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, this could be the perfect opportunity.

As our Live-in Guesthouse Host, you will live on the property and play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences while assisting with all aspects of the guesthouse's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and professionally handle guest requests and concerns.
• Manage the complete guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Prepare and serve breakfast to a high standard.
• Oversee kitchen operations and maintain food service standards.
• Purchase breakfast supplies and manage stock levels.
• Work alongside, support, and guide the housekeeping team.
• Allocate daily staff duties and assist with staff training.
• Conduct regular room and property inspections.
• Manage reservations and bookings using NightsBridge.
• Coordinate daily guest logistics and operational requirements.
• Ensure the property is always clean, neat, and well presented.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, like changing bulbs and minor repairs.
• Be available after hours when required.
• Live on the property as the on-site host.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in a guesthouse, hotel, or hospitality environment will be to your advantage.
• Good culinary knowledge and confidence in preparing and serving breakfast.
• Must have a valid driver's licence.
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans and able to communicate professionally in English.
• Good computer skills and experience with NightsBridge will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and operationally driven.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.

We Offer

• Live-in accommodation on the property, included water/electricity (solar),wifi and breakfast.
• Salary R12000 plus commision.

2 Nights a month in our Beachfront guesthouse.
