1. POSITION PURPOSE
Executes the physical loading and offloading of delivery vehicles in the dispatch yard, ensuring snack products are packed securely to maximize space and prevent transit damage.
2. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs) & RESPONSIBILITIES
KPA 1: Physical Vehicle Loading
Manually load packed boxes and bales onto delivery trucks according to the sequence dictated by the driver's route plan.
KPA 2: Cargo Securing & Weight Distribution
Ensure heavy items are placed at the bottom and lighter snacks on top to prevent crushing. Secure loads properly to prevent shifting during transit.
KPA 3: Offloading & Material Handling
Assist in unloading returned stock, empty pallets, or incoming raw materials as directed by the supervisor.
KPA 4: Dispatch Housekeeping
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading dock area, sweeping up debris and reporting damaged stock immediately.
3. ROLE REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES
Education: Grade 10 to Grade 12.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, loading bay, or manual labor environment.
System Expertise: N/A
Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of workplace health and safety (OHS) protocols.
Driver’s License: Forklift license is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies: High physical fitness, stamina for heavy lifting, reliability, and ability to follow strict instructions.
