Grade 4 Afrikaans, Grade 5 & 6 Computers, and Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher

Fixed Term: 31 August – 4 December 2026

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Appropriate university degree or professional qualification;
• Proven teaching experience in Afrikaans Grade 4 and Computer Literacy;
• Knowledge and application of Microsoft across all school platforms;
• Current and valid Registration with SACE;
• Computer proficient and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning;
• A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills;
• A commitment to full participation in the extra-curricular activities of the school;
• Current teaching experience in an ISASA school;
• Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of SAHETI school.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

• Prepare for, teach, and assess beyond the requirements of the CAP’s Document and Requirements;
• Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to healthy, connective, and where possible cutting-edge teaching and learning;
• Set, mark, and evaluate class work, homework, assessments, examinations, and provide regular and meaningful feedback to students/staff/parents;
• Moderate formal assessments, and generating project-based activities;
• Monitor and support pastoral care of pupils;
• Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School.
