Locum Rehab Medical Doctor - Montana

Nurture Health is seeking a passionate and patient-centred Locum Medical Doctor to assist with weeknight calls and weekends when required. Reporting to the Therapy Manager, you will play a critical role in optimising patients’ clinical status and enabling their active participation in rehabilitation programmes. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality rehabilitation care and achieve meaningful patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients’ rehabilitation medicine needs, including medically complex cases, while optimising their participation in rehabilitation programmes.
• Plan, implement, and monitor rehabilitation medicine interventions, prevent and manage secondary complications, and ensure compliance with clinical governance standards and organisational policies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to establish patient-centred goals, contribute to clinical decision-making, and educate patients and families on rehabilitation prognosis, progress, and expected outcomes.

Requirements

• Registered with the HPCSA Medical and Dental Professions Board in the category Independent Practice (General Practitioner), with proven experience working within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical reasoning, holistic patient assessment, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary decision-making and deliver patient-centred care.
• Passionate about rehabilitation, committed to continuous learning and professional development, and demonstrates accountability, empathy, adaptability, and professionalism.
