Job description
The purpose of this position is to support the Logistics team with administrative duties, including reporting on execution of logistics operations & preparing paperwork.
- Report on benchmark vs actual rates
- Attend to all returns and rejections
- Attend to and escalate customer complaints
- Report on rejection lead times
- Actively supervise daily delivery schedules and progress thereof
- Daily report of any deviations to the Logistics team
- Assist Logistics Supervisor with all administrative duties regarding truck and driver readiness and measurement
- Arrange and administer driver allowances, as per schedules
- Compile all returns for calculation per truck purposes
- Compile diesel consumption values for each truck
- Collate and capture all fuel and toll invoices
- Compile incident reports (i.e. accidents)
- Internal customer service
- General administration
- Open sales order (SO) management
- Compile and assist with cross-border & export paperwork
Health and Safety
- Participate in safety forums created by SOILL for example safety meetings and safety talks
- Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committees/representatives/management
- Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
- Attend safety education and refresher programmes
- Comply with safety policies and procedures at SOILL
- Distribute safety information as and when required
- Always wear protective clothing (where applicable)
Qualification and Experience
- Grade 12
- 2 years relevant working experience
- Computer literacy on MS Office, with specific reference to Excel
