Logistics Analyst

Are you an experienced Logistics professional with strong SAP and Supply Chain knowledge? Our client is looking for a Logistics Analyst to support import and export stock procurement planning, logistics operations, and freight cost optimisation.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Logistics position.
• Experience with SAP R3 Sales & Distribution (SD) .
• Qualification in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field.
• Matric or equivalent .
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain principles and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office , particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Reduce freight costs in line with annual KPIs.
• Track and trace physical shipments from end to end and maintain accurate stock ETA reporting.
• Lodge claims and resolve shipment discrepancies.
• Manage insurance claims through the relevant marine insurance process.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics processes.
• Ensure all required export documentation is available and accurate.
• Organise and maintain shipment documentation supporting order fulfilment, distribution and contractual requirements.
• Identify and manage freight bill overcharges/undercharges with carriers and track reconciliation against rate cards.
• Manage and consolidate logistics-related payments.
• Support 3PL relationship management .
• Assist with logistics planning for large tender rollouts.
• Place stock replenishment orders on SAP , including procurement from third-party suppliers.

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage logistics processes, monitor shipments, identify cost-saving opportunities and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
