Logistics Assistant

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Assistant with relevant industry experience to join our team in Cape Town. This role is central to the smooth flow of our supply chain operations, from inter-branch transfers and online order management to vendor communications and claims processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• All IBT (Inter-Branch Transfer) planning and processing.
• Review online orders and approve quantities.
• Manage IBTs for Takealot accounts across Johannesburg, KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town.
• Handle all damaged and expired stock IBTs, including arranging destruction.
• Log and follow up on claims for courier damages. losses, and related incidents.
• Expedite purchases and ensure timely procurement.
• Maintain clear communications with vendors and internal departments.
• Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Audit logistics documentation for compliance and accuracy.
• Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycles from start to finish.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in Pastel Evolution and standard logistics software.
• A diploma in Business Administration is advantageous.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
