LOGISTICS ASSISTANT – PIETERMARITZBURG, KWAZULU-NATAL

A well-established logistics and distribution company in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join its operations team on a permanent basis.

Salary: Market-related (based on qualifications and experience)

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be advantageous
Previous experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or administration is an added advantage
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, especially Excel)
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must have a clear criminal record
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily transport and delivery schedules
Track deliveries and ensure timely dispatch of goods
Prepare and maintain logistics documentation
Liaise with drivers, suppliers, customers, and warehouse staff
Assist with stock control and inventory records
Capture data accurately and prepare daily operational reports
Support the logistics team with general administrative duties
