Job description
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented and highly organised Logistics Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily logistics activities while ensuring accurate invoicing, documentation and administrative control.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily deliveries, collections and transport activities.
- Liaise with drivers, clients, suppliers and relevant service providers.
- Monitor vehicle movements, delivery schedules and proof of delivery documentation.
- Capture and maintain accurate operational and customer information.
- Prepare, process and issue customer invoices accurately and timeously.
- Verify invoices against delivery notes, trip sheets, purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Follow up on outstanding delivery documentation and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for logistics and financial documentation.
- Assist with accounts-related administration and customer queries.
- Prepare daily and monthly logistics reports as required.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the logistics and operations department.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in a logistics, transport, fleet or operations environment.
- Proven experience with invoicing and administrative processes.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Experience with accounting.
