Job Summary
The Logistics Controller is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing the movement of goods throughout the supply chain. This role ensures that products are delivered efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company standards while maintaining accurate records, managing transport schedules, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation and distribution activities.
- Monitor shipments from dispatch to final delivery.
- Liaise with drivers, accommodation centre and customers regarding delivery schedules and logistics requirements.
- Track and resolve delivery delays, discrepancies, and logistics-related issues.
- Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and shipment records.
- Prepare logistics reports, performance metrics, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
- Verify transport invoices and reconcile logistics costs.
- Assist with route planning and load optimization to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor stock movements and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and logistics operations.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
