Logistics Coordinator

For a client in the Chemicals/polymers distribution industry (cross- trade), we are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to be based full time in the office in Bryanston.

General Job description / Key responsibilities

• Gather all the necessary documents from the customers prior to shipping formalities
• Send the shipping instructions to the suppliers
• Send the shipping instructions and instructions for bill of lading to the freight forwarders and shipping lines
• Send booking schedules and shipping confirmations to customers
• Prepare documentation to customers and their forwarders for import clearance
• Keep track of the daily deliveries and invoicing
• Track local and cross border customers’ orders
• Track marine shipments on a weekly basis
• Manage claims related to shipping, packaging, storage, late documentations and delays
• Coordinate with the clearing agents of the customers to manage import formalities
• Coordinate with the warehouses and customers to organize pick-up and or truck deliveries
• Track local deliveries by truck and gather road transport documents
• To prepare shipping documents (BL, Commercial invoice, COO, Packing list,

Cargo tracking notes…) to ensure customers’ clearance of goods at destination
