Logistics Foreman

Our client, Kromco (Pty) Ltd, situated in Grabouw , is one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry and has a position available for a hands-on and driven Logistics Foreman in the bin logistics operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Planning and scheduling, which includes controlling budget during season and off-season *Overseeing fruit placements in correct locations and allocations *Allocation of fruit to pre-sort, storage and packaging according to packing programme *Scheduling of transport to move fruit and empty bins *Planning of seasonal workers required *Overseeing loading and unloading of cold rooms according to operational and quality specifications *Correct and safe storage and management of empty bins *Ensure continuous accuracy of bin stock *Oversee MDWT program *Full responsibility for team discipline and management of morale *Manage overtime *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Matric required;

• A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous:

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Logistics, Warehousing or a similar operational environment;

• Previous Supervisory or Management experience in a Logistics/Operational environment;

• Good computer proficiency (MS Office);

• Knowledge and experience of deciduous fruits;

• Knowledge of BRCGS standards;

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English);

• Valid driver’s license.
